Syracuse sits in the southeast corner of Sicily on the Ionian coast below the Iblei Mountains and is a UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.

Nightlife
An evening in Ortigia is not to missed with its many cafes, bars, restaurants and clubs. The nightlife here is second to none catering for all tastes - from chic and sophisticated alfresco dining to partying at one of the nightclubs, most of which sit between the Piazza Archimede and the Piazza Duomo.
For something a little different, the Ancient Greek theater in the Parco Archaeologico often puts on evening shows of classical Greek plays suring the summer.

Syracuse has a warm, sub-tropical climate with mild winters and hot summers. Temperatures rarely drop below 22°C until the end of October and can peak at 35°C and more in August.
