St Ives cottage holidays Holiday rentals - country and coastal cottages to rent in St Ives
St Ives is a seaside port in Cornwall sitting North of Penzance and West of Camborne. The town is built on a narrow peninsula edged with sandy beaches. Extending out from the blissful harbour are a network of quaint cobbled streets lined with fishermen's cottages. St Ives, known for its surf beaches and its rich artisctic heritage is home to numerous galleries including Tate St Ives with its rotating modern exhibitions centering on British artists.
There are 4 main beaches, all offering something different. Porthmeor is the best for surfing as it faces into the Atlantic and is the second largest while Porthminster is the ideal family beach. It has wide stretches of sand and when the tide is low, the shallow waters are perfect for paddling plus there’s a choice of places to eat and drink.
