Oggebbio sits opposite Porto Valtravaglia on the west shore of Lake Maggiore and comprises 15 tiny villages and hamlets that rise from the shore into the hills above. The hillside above Oggebbio is home to some substantial villas with superb gardens plus some very old cottages which are now mainly used as holiday homes.
At the lakeside, there are a few cafes, bars and restaurants to choose from but for more variety, there is the very lively and picteresque resort of Verbania 10km away.

Oggebbio is one of the quieter spots on Lake Maggiore but with easy access to everything Lake Maggiore has to offer from the bustling cosmopolitan resorts of Stresa and Locarno to the gentle hiking trails on the peaks above. An ideal resort to enjoy the scenery at a more relaxed pace.
