Gambarogno Riviera cottages Holiday rentals - cottages & holiday homes in Gambarogno
The Riviera del Gambarogno, opposite the Locarno Bay, in the Swiss section of Lake Maggiore extends for a stretch of 10km from the tip of the lake to the Italian border with a sprinkling of beautifully quaint Ticino villages along the shore.
Whilst Magadino is the largest village in the Gambarogno, Vira is the historic centre and is a traditional village with old dwellings and very narrow streets. Apart from the watersports and biking, the Gambarogno is very popular with hikers with over 200km of marked trails rising up to the Tamaro peak at 1961m.
