Folkestone cottage holidays Holiday rentals - coastal cottages to rent in Folkestone
Folkestone is the closest town to the Eurotunnel and is a popular seaside resort. It sits in a valley between two white cliffs on the edge of the North Downs. The town is very pretty with quaint cobbled streets, plenty of shops, bars and restaurants plus a creative quarter with studios and art galleries.
The harbour area is bustling with activity throughout the day and to either side of the town you will discover lovely family friendly sandy beaches. The cliff-top promenade has a Victorian funicular lift down to Lower Leas Coastal Park with play areas, gardens and outdooesr amphitheatre. From the promenade you can see France on a clear day.
