Anglesey is an island in North Wales accessed by the Menai Suspension Bridge and the Britannia Bridge. The island is known for its golden sandy beaches and historical sites such as the medieval village of Beaumaris with its 13th-century Beaumaris Castle. There is also the Anglesey Coastal Path which is a route taking you around 124 miles of pristine coastline taking in the sand dunes on the West of the island and the rugged cliffs on the North coast.
Anglesey has many quaint country villages where time has stood still but there are equally a number of lively and vibrant towns around the coast and inner parts of Anglesey that are popular for cottage holidays.
